Rose Tattoo Warm-up Show Location: Army & Navy Pub Chelmsford Essxex Date: 29.5.2001. Rose Tattoo played this secret warm-up gig at the Army & Navy Pub in Essex. The Tatts havenít hit these shores for 2 decades. I was privileged to attend this warm-up show Thanks to Sean Hudson & Joe at Future Management. A full 15 song set list blew away the local punters at the Army & Navy Pub. Around 100 people enjoyed the Tatts set. Angry did his usual ranting & raving, giving the crowd abuse, with Peter Wells arse kicking slide guitar girding to the old chest nuts such as Bad Boy For Love and Rock 'n' Roll Outlaw. Thatís why this bands so special and have lots of talent. Steve Kingís excellent bass guitar playing during The Butcher & Fast Eddy was just amazing and Rocking Rob Riley kicks a mean Rhythm sound during Rock n Roll Is King and Scarred For Life. Paul DeMarco did a great intro to We Canít Be Beaten and to Nice boys Donít Play Rock n wanna bet! These guys are back and souding better and better. It shouldnít have taken the Tatts this long to play the U.K. I hope the Tatts come back again again, we need down to earth bands like THE TATTS and not these crap new bands of to-day. THE TATTS finished off with We Canít Be Beaten and Suicide City. It was a great night of pure Rock 'n' Roll and we need more of it.
