I have been into Rose Tattoo since 79 or 80 when I first picked up their debut album. I was a roadie at the time and dug the Tatt's sort of cross-over into punk.
Unfortunately, I was never able to see the band play live. They never toured much in Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal, the three big cities I have lived in Canada.
Anyway, I just got a hold of their two vidoes. The promo video one with videos from 79 to 84 is pretty funny. The Live at Boggo Road Video from their reunion tour with Guns and Roses is one of the most ferocious, upbeat sets I have ever seen performed by
ny band anywhere. Even after all these years since the first incarnation of the band had broken up, their set is tight, heavy, and with a super strong voice on the part of Angry Anderson.
Angry on "throat" has become on my favorites characters in the crazy world of rock'n'roll. One of my favourite songs he did was during the "Beats from a single drum" album. This was released in two versions outside of Aus. I have the French copy under the
name of Rose Tattoo that includes a song called Michael O'Riley. The same album printed in GB under the Angry Anderson name does not include this track. Thought this would interest some of the collectors out there.
If anyone has any Buster Brown Blues Band recordings out there and are willing to trade copies, my entire collection can be found at

I discovered Rose Tattoo in 1980, when their debut album was finally released here in the US. I was already a fan of AC/DC, and the Angels (then Angel City). When I first heard the Tatts debut album, I was blown away by the raw edged intensity of the rock
'n' roll. For me, the Tatts, Angels and AC/DC of 1976-1982 are as good as hard rock gets.
